Fit To Be Untied
Love was born into this house of cards
Where no one sees…who is the dealer?
War it tears apart a world so heedless
A lust affair of the unaware
Bound to the chains of time and seasons
‘Round turning…Isn’t “I am” free?
Mind is fit to be untied…It’s leading blindly
Thinking all the while unceasing
Siding with beliefs of “I”, “me”, “mine”
Crouched hiding…its abhorring silence…feeding
Dining…swallowing your hopes and dreams
Conceiving…
Wood is burning in this old apartment
With dusty stairs…the walls are bleeding
Thoughts are holding up these rafter beams
The clothes we wear…identities
Disguises swelling all the cemeteries
Never finding the beginning that cannot be seen
Mind is fit to be untied…It’s leading blindly
Thinking all the while unceasing
Siding with beliefs of “I”, “me”, “mine”
Crouched hiding…its abhorring silence…feeding
Dining…swallowing your hopes and dreams
Conceiving…
Whoever locked the gate keeping us out?
Won’t heavens angels save me?
We keep repeating themes of fear and doubt
What path can end this foul disease?
I lost the key
Can I hitch a ride through the atmosphere?
